iPhone Shopping Apps? Bye Bye Shops!

It isn’t a new revelation that we can pick out our outfits on our phone, but this iphone app called StyleCred by The Outnet is amazing, not only can you shop about to see what they have in stock, you can create as many looks as you want, share them with friends and even purchase them. Shopping is now getting too easy, I’m worried for the British High Street, will all of our shops disappear?

First our bricks and mortar shops had to combat against internet stores and now both need to combat app stores. Wherever you go or whatever you need you can now receive it by downloading an app. “I really need to know how to apply a smokey eye” - there’s an app for it. There is an app for everything!

I have to admit, I’m getting quite scared over the new age of apps and how everything we could possibly need can be done all with a couple of touches on a screen. A phone, is a phone, having the choice to access emails and have the opportunity to download a map/guide is excellent and useful (especially if you’re like me and lack a sense of direction). However, now, we dont need to go out of the house, we will be having virtual 3D tours of the world soon, so there will be no need to go on a plane; just plug us up to a machine at home and find yourself in a different country and relax by the seaside.

Technology is getting that way, I might be going a bit too far, but I had to make my point. People wonder why our children are obese- not saying that it’s all down to an app, that’s ridiculous I just think that if technology took a back seat children would go out and play football. The time Playstation had their interactive platform hacked into, I would imagine this was the the best time for mums - they probably saw their children! Eating habits also comes into the obesity argument, but lack of exercise is a big player too.

With us now able to shop on our phones, our attention at work will probably be split, we will have arthritis in our hands when we’re in our 30s and we will probably always be in a lot of trouble with the bank. When is this ever going to stop, or will it? What’s next?
