Naomi Campbell To Sue Cadbury

According to new reports supermodel Naomi Campbell is said to be insulted by the new Cadbury ad campaign that refers her to a bar of chocolate. The slogan beneath the advert says, “Move over Naomi, there’s a new diva in town”. You can understand why the model is disgusted and deeply hurt that such a derogatory advert has made print.
Naomi Campbell told the Daily Mail: “I am shocked. It’s upsetting to be described as chocolate, not just for me but for all black women and black people. I do not find any humour in this. It is insulting and hurtful.”

Vogue has said that the model is exploring “every available option” over the images that appeared in supermarkets and national newspapers.

In response to this outrage Krafts Foods, who took over the Cadbury company in 2010 released a statement saying: “It was certainly never our intention to cause any offence and the campaign itself is a light-hearted take on the social pretensions of Cadbury Dairy Milk Bliss. Cadbury takes its responsibility very seriously indeed and we would never produce any marketing activity we felt might cause offence to any section of society.”
